  • What is your previous work experience?

During my career in hospitality, marketing and event planning I have had the pleasure of working in several historic facilities: The Parker House, Marlborough Country Club, The Harvard Club, Boston. I have always enjoyed engaging clients in discussions of relevant history as it adds an extra special dimension to the event and its planning.

  • What is the most common question prospective clients ask about the Village Hall on the Common?

I actually have been asked several times if Village Hall on the Common is visited by spirits or haunted, and so far, I can honestly say I have not encountered any.

  • If you could describe the Village Hall on the Common in one word to a prospective client, what would it be?

Classic. But if you would allow a phrase: ‘Quintessential Classic New England ‘

  • What kind of events are lined up for this summer and fall?

Now that everyone is getting back out to celebrate special milestones we have social events such as  weddings, mitzvahs, quinceaneras’, birthday parties and association /corporate events such as awards dinners, retirement parties, annual offsite meetings and holiday celebrations booked in Village Hall on the Common for the remainder of the year.

  • Everyone is always looking for a good deal! What’s the best deal you offer for rentals?

Being a Framingham resident gets you 10% off your total rental!

  • Now that you’ve been overseeing rentals for 3 months, is there something you were surprised to learn in your experiences so far?

The actual variety of so many different types of events that people are looking to host from parties, religious gatherings, varied cultural events and milestone celebrations relative to their heritage.  But I guess in a way I am not really surprised, as it is an expression of the true diversity of The City of Framingham and its residents.
