Collections & Research

About the Collections

The Framingham History Center is home to a robust collection encompassing over 400 years of local history. Our dynamic collection serves all areas of our mission-based operations: exhibitions, education, research, and programming.

Active Collections

In the interest of ensuring that our collecting practices and collections care always reflect upon our mission, the Board of Directors voted to adopt “A Manifesto for Active Collections” on May 24, 2016. Informed by the philosophy of Active Collections, we hope to ensure the healthiest possible collection, and one that truly serves the people of Framingham.

The Framingham History Center does accept collections donations relating to the history of Framingham. If you are interested in learning more about making a donation to our collection, click here.
