Framingham’s Collective Journeys: Stories of Immigration, 1960 – Present

On view at FHC Edgell Memorial Library
3 Oak Street, Framingham, MA 01701
Tuesdays – Saturdays, 10:00am – 4:00pm

In Framingham, the story of immigration is as varied as the people who have made the journey. From those fleeing the Salem Witch trials in the 1690s, to the Irish and Italian communities arriving in the 19th and early 20th centuries, to the increased migration from diverse parts of the world over the last five decades, we are a city built by immigration.

“Framingham’s Collective Journeys: Stories of Immigration, 1960 – Present” is the first onsite multilingual exhibition in the Framingham History Center’s 136-year-history as an institution. Through oral histories, interactives, and artifacts, we invite you to explore the collective journeys of those who immigrated here since 1960 and of the city that grew and transformed with their movement.

Co-Curated by Patrick St. Pierre & Framingham History Center.
