Personal qualifications for this position must include flexibility and the ability to be both persistent and supportive of Prospect Managers and other volunteers. Strong verbal and written communication is imperative as is experience with the Etapestry or other donor database. Three years of experience in a Development Office or comparable job experience is necessary.  The applicant needs demonstrate success in managing team members.

This position offers the opportunity to work with seasoned Development professionals while learning a new fundraising approach.  The Development Assistant will be a part of an exciting team whose aim is to double the FHC’s annual fund over the next two years and establish an educational endowment as well as a building endowment to further preserve over 10,000 museum quality artifacts and three of the town’s most historic buildings.  There is potential for this job to evolve into a full-time position.
