2019 Annual Meeting Featuring Historical Costumer Henry Cooke

Tuesday, June 18th
7:00 PM
Village Hall on the Common, 2 Oak Street

Diplomatic relations have certainly evolved since 1846 when Dr. Peter Parker was appointed as the first American diplomat to China.  Dr. Parker’s story from his boyhood in Framingham to working in China as a medical missionary is one of global significance.  The FHC  was incredibly disappointed when we were told by several conservators that his diplomatic uniform—a treasured artifact in our collection —was beyond repair. Thankfully Historical Costumer Henry Cooke was able to take on the monumental task of restoring this severely moth-eaten and damaged piece.

After a brief annual meeting and the presentation of the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award, Henry will discuss his on-going conservation.

This meeting is for members and donors only. If you know of others who are not members and would like to attend, they can join the FHC here.
