Snow day in a Campanelli kitchen

My name is John Zabierek and I grew up in Framingham, many years in a Campanelli house on Prior Drive, right next the high school.  OF COURSE I follow “you know you are from Framingham” on Facebook, having lived in Philadelphia for many years it’s a hoot to know that there are other people in the world with memories like mine. I graduated from North in 1979. I really just have this one photo to contribute, may seem random but I think it sums up Framingham, snow days and Campanelli houses.  It was a snow day and we were home from school (must have been bad because that was rare then). My mother was an art teacher so she sprung into action. Out came all the art supplies and my father’s old shirts, otherwise known as smocks. What you don’t see here but everyone who lived in these houses knew, to the left is an enormous water heater that heated up the whole room on a cold day. Ours was aqua, along with all the other appliances (pink and yellow were the other “choices”).  No doubt later in the day that heater was covered with wet mittens, socks, coats and hats.  As I said, random, but definitely one of my Campanelli moments. Good luck with your project – I’d love to make the trip to see it when the time comes
