Join artist and writer Julie Williams-Krishnan for an engaging and immersive workshop exploring the connection between photography and words through the art of ekphrastic poetry. Hosted at the Framingham History Center, this interactive session invites participants to reflect on historical and contemporary photographs as inspiration for creative writing.
Ekphrastic poetry—poems written in response to visual art—offers a powerful way to engage with images, drawing out emotions, stories, and new interpretations. Julie will guide attendees through observation exercises, writing prompts, and discussions, helping them craft their own poetic responses to compelling photographs from the center’s collection and beyond.
No prior writing experience is necessary—just a willingness to explore and be inspired!
