Thursday, September 4th | 7:00-8:30 pm
Free Event but Registration Required
Discover the people, policies, and programs that have shifted the arc of health history in our community.
Join us to explore Framingham’s rich history of health infrastructure and celebrate the innovative work that continues to benefit the community today, from milestones like the Framingham Heart Study to present-day efforts in health equity. Through real-world examples, we will examine the power of local policies, programs, and people in building a more inclusive and resilient community.
As a tool for education and advocacy, the MetroWest Health Equity Timeline highlights important moments in history that have shaped the health disparities we see today. This living, interactive resource documents MetroWest-specific events that reflect shifts in power and provides context for the broader societal forces that influenced those decisions.
If you have any questions feel free to reach Claudia Ruiz, FHC Programs Manager, at claudia@framinghamhistory.org.
