2025 Hike Through History – Coburnville-Tripoli
Sunday, November 9th
2:00-3:30 p.m. | FREE; Registration required!

Step into Framingham’s vibrant past with longtime resident and community activist, Judith Grove, as your guide. Explore her Coburnville neighborhood where the Nipmuc community fished for eels in Lake Waushakum, tight-knit Italian immigrant families lived in tenements and worked in Dennison factories, the most famous 19th-century woman inventor lived, and where an expansive estate was deeded to the Sisters of St. Joseph and is the site of a future elementary school.
The walk will conclude with a casual gathering at Judith’s 1887 home, affording time to reflect, connect, and enjoy light refreshments.
Presented by the City of Framingham’s 325th Anniversary Committee.
