Community Engagement Manager
(Part-Time, Bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese)

The Framingham History Center, a vibrant hub for local history and culture, is excited to announce an opening for a part-time Community Engagement Manager. This position is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and passionate individual to play a pivotal role at the Framingham History Center as we invest in our deep commitment to community engagement and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Outreach Partnerships: Serve as an ambassador and facilitator for the Framingham History Center, building relationships and partnerships with institutions that align with our mission in order to meet the needs of our diverse community.
- Community Events: Oversee our presence at community events, including Farmer’s Markets, festivals, and other local tabling opportunities.
- Development Support: Play a crucial role in the coordination and scheduling of engagement opportunities with donors and sponsors, building skills and learning best practices in the field of Development.
- Membership Oversight: Reinvigorate the FHC Membership Program, creating meaningful experiences for new and existing members through targeted campaigns, events, and a structured communication schedule.
- Volunteer Management: Direct our vibrant volunteers, creating structure and meaningful opportunities for volunteering in our numerous departments, including in the areas of Education, Programming, Events, Curation, and Outreach.
Preferred Skills/Experience Areas
- Bilingual Proficiency: Must have bilingual skills in order to connect and engage with our diverse communities.
- Partnership Building: Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with various institutions and community members.
- Community Engagement: Skilled at representing the organization at public events and engaging with the community effectively.
- Event/Program Planning: Experience in organizing and overseeing events, ensuring they run smoothly and meet organizational goals.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective outreach and member interaction. Technical experience in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email platforms like Constant Contact or MailChimp is a plus.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and execute strategies that align with the organization’s mission and community needs.
- Organizational Skills: Well-organized with the ability to create structured programs and schedules for membership and volunteer activities.
- Growth-Oriented Mindset: Interest in developing new skills in a supportive, encouraging work environment.
- Leadership: Leadership and team management skills to direct teams effectively.
Salary, Hours, & Benefits
Part-time, 20 hours/week; $23-25/hour, commensurate with experience. Some nights and weekends for special programming will apply.
