Early 1900s - A horse and wagon, a horse trough and an open B&W trolley are pictured in this photo of Central Square looking northwest. Five streets met at Central Square: Eastern Avenue (now Rt.e 9), Main Street, High Street, Pleasant Street and Elm Street (now Edgell Road). "There was a market in one of the buildings shown - with orders delivered to homes. The delivery man gave me a ride from stones to Wisons when I started working there." |
