Description
BAPTIST CHURCH The mounted sepia print shows the church with its original tall steeple, the cutaway drive at left exposing the basement floor of the building. Anchoring the west end of the South Common is the South Framingham Baptist Church, its romanesque design created by Alexander Rice Esty in 1854. By 1980, both the name and appearance of the church had changed. The building had been remodeled to incorporate colonial revival taste in design and materials in the 1930s. The name had changed to Park Street Baptist Church.
