| ST. BRIDGET'S CHURCH The mounted sepia print of a clapboarded church shows two covered entries at the front. In 1880, the wooden church on the corner of Main and Granite Streets was St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church. It had been built as a Universalist Church in the 1830s and was also used for a time as an Episcopal church. The church building was torn down and replaced by a colonial revival dwelling in the 1930s when St. Bridget's built its large stone edifice on Route 9. |
