Description ST. BRIDGET'S CHURCH

In 1880, the wooden church on the corner of Main and Granite Streets was St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church. It had been built as a Universalist Church in the 1830s and was also used for a time as an Episcopal church. The church building was torn down and replaced by a colonial revival dwelling in the 1930s when St. Bridget's built its large stone edifice on Route 9.
