Description FRAMINGHAM HOTEL

To the east of the Esty Block was the Framingham Hotel, built in 1797 and torn down in 1930 when the old Boston-Worcester Turnpike was rebuilt as Route 9. In 1965, the site was used for the Framingham Public Library, still in use as a branch library in 1980, and now occupied by several businesses.
