Color Postcard, "The Maridor, Halfway between Boston and Worcester, Route 9 Framingham Centre, Mass.", with detailed description on back Published by E.B. Thomas, Cambridge, Mass. Teknitone by Colourpicture The Sculos family's restaurant, pictured circa 1940, was named "Maridor" for daughters Mary and Dora. Maridor's success led to expansion and updating and then to the addition of The Fonda Del Corro motel in 1962. In 1983, under a new owner, it became "Duca's at the Maridor." The site, located at the corner of Rte. 9 and Prospect Street, is now occupied by a Walgreens store. The motel, most recently a Treadway Inn, is closed and awaits redevelopment.
