Description
ARLINGTON STREET SCHOOL The mounted sepia print shows a two-story brick building with porch over the entrance door at left. Construction was nearly complete on the school on Arlington Street when the photograph was taken in 1880. Known as the Franklin School for most of its life, the building was enlarged several times before being torn down in the early 1950s. In 1980, the site was a playground.
