Description |
WOMAN'S STATES PRISON
Approached by going south on Irving Street, the women's prison stands near the Sherborn line. It is known today as MCI-Framingham, still the only women's prison in Massachusetts. When it was built in the 1870s, the institution was actually in Sherborn, just over the Framingham border, until 1924, when the border was adjusted. |
