SUMMARY:Participatory Archiving Listening Session
DESCRIPTION:Mass Memories, the participatory archiving program at UMass Boston, is piloting a training program for librarians, archivists, and public historians across Massachusetts with an interest in digitization and community-engaged archiving, providing guidance and support as institutions develop plans for their own participatory archiving projects.\nUMass Boston staff are traveling to Framingham on August 13 to host a listening session to gather information that will inform their training program.\nVillage Hall | 2 Oak Street, Framingham, MA 01701\nThursday, August 13 | 10am-11:30am\n\nWe want to hear from you—what issues are you facing as you do digitization and digital preservation work? What questions do you have about getting community members involved in preserving their own histories?
