SUMMARY:Stitching Revolution in Massachusetts: Quilting & Dancing
DESCRIPTION:Dates: Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th all day\nLocation: Village Hall on the Common, 2 Oak St. Framingham\n\n\n\nStitching Revolution in Massachusetts is a hands-on weekend blending quilting, history, and 18th-century dance, all in celebration of Massachusetts’ pivotal role in the American Revolution. Open to everyone—from experienced quilters and history lovers to curious visitors—this two-day event at the historic Framingham’s Village Hall on the Common, invites the community to connect through creativity, storytelling, and movement. Generously funded by MA250, the program highlights the Bay State’s rich Revolutionary heritage in an engaging and accessible way.\nCommunity Quilting\nOpen to all quilters across New England! All weekend long, quilters and beginners alike can take part in creating quilt squares inspired by Revolutionary War themes. Yes, you can bring your machines and Revolutionary-era fabrics! These squares will be combined into a community quilt that tells a story through fabric. Materials will be provided, and guidance will be available—just come ready to sew and share.\nGuest Lecturers\nEnjoy a great lineup of talks happening throughout both days in the same venue.
