SUMMARY:Framingham’s People of Color from 1600 to 1800
DESCRIPTION:Presenter: FHC Scholar-in-Residence Mary McNeil, PhD Candidate, Program in American Studies, Harvard University & Stacen Goldman, FHC Curator\nStories involving People of Color have a tendency to disappear in traditional museum finding aids. The same can be said of Framingham and we are past due to uncover them. Thanks to a recent Scholar-in-Residence project grant from the Sudbury Foundation, Mary McNeil is creating an internal finding aid of the FHC’s archives highlighting the stories of Nipmuc, African, and African Americans from 1600-1800.  Join us for a conversation with Curator Stacen Goldman and Mary McNeil as they discuss Mary’s progress so far, the discoveries she has made, and what leads she is chasing down to complete her work.\nTickets- $5/FHC member, $10/not yet a member. \nFree registration for Framingham Public School staff and students. Email laura@framinghamhistory.org ( mailto:laura@framinghamhistory.org ) before 2/25 with the email extension  @framingham.k12.ma.us ( http://framingham.k12.ma.us ) or @fpsed.org ( http://fpsed.org ) to register.\n*This Zoom is part of the Program Package*\nTicket sales are open until 6pm on Feb 25.\n
