to director@framinghamhistory.org. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Board Members — Contact Annie Murphy for more information. Email director@framinghamhistory.org or call 508-626-9091.
- Committee Members — The following committees need volunteer assistance: Program, Membership, Buildings, Collections and Development.
- Cemeteries Inventory for Civil War Veterans — Record information and photograph monuments in cemeteries where Framingham Civil War veterans are buried. Lists and cemetery maps are available.
- Collections Processing — Register, photograph and catalog items in the collection such as Framingham anniversaries, Dennison products, World War I and II, tools, ceramics.
- Virtual Exhibit — Convert Framingham’s Cultural Resource Inventory of historic buildings into a searchable virtual exhibit.
- Photograph Scanning — Scan photographs so that they can be included in our catalog, and potentially posted on our web site.
- Museum Store — Work with Museum Store Manager on sales, inventory, purchasing, merchandise arrangement, etc.
- Programs — Help with planning programs. Plan, prepare and/or serve refreshments for programs.

- Music of the Gas Light Era
Sunday, March 21st, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Edgell Memorial Library/ 3 Oak St. — Join musician and educator, John Root A delightful repertoire of instrumental and vocal musical styles from the turn of the previous century. $5 for members, $10 for non-members.
- Family Day on the Common
Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:00-4:00p.m. - Framingham Centre Common —Take your family back in time. Come learn how to play old fashioned games like rounders, graces, hoops, and more. Tour one of Framingham’s first school houses (The Old Academy) and the Village Hall. Enjoy treasure hunts, games and hands-on activities. There will be refreshments and antiques for sale as well.
Free to the Public.
